Great job, Alicia! She's mastered the timed test of the x2 multiplication facts...she was pretty excited as the 2s-b test only took her 1 try! Very proud of her! Now, On to the 3s!

Homework with Buzz

Ben had some homework that discussed talking about an object. Of course, he picked a Buzz toy. He did a good job describing it and then attempted to draw his own Buzz.

Guess who- pumpkin carving edition ...

At first I thought I was going it have a few "Pinterest-fail" pictures from the templates We tried using and attempted to carve out. But in all actuality they turned out rather nice.

Can anyone name our pumpkins? :-)

School pic days

Kids ready for fall picture days at school!

They clean up rather well ;-) I'm glad they were not on the same day or else the house would have been a crazy place that morning getting both ready and nice looking that early in the morning! ;-P

Husky of the week!

Ben was a Husky of the week this week at his school ! He showed good manners and was a great helper in the past week to earn the Husky status. As a special reward, he was able to lick out treats to take for snack to his classmates and even got to have special visitor to class... mommy got to visit his classroom and play games and read stories to his friends this week.

Making some Halloween decor

Kids have been bugging me about getting more Halloween decorations so I figured I should put them to work and make some!! ;-)

Bringing down the sunflower

We had a good run with the huge sunflower this summer but we had a pretty windy storm a few weeks ago and the plant just hasn't recovered fully from it. So the kids and I snipped a few good sunflowers off and saved it for a bouquet inside. The sunflower stalk was pretty tough but Ben managed to help me push it down. :-)

We get some pretty cool sunflowers this year in our driveway from where the kids and birds sprinkled sunflower seeds.

"...but Mom, I NEED a real potato"

Ben wanted to make a real potato head today. Not just a "that's plastic, not real" potato head...
Hm , I suppose we should make some French fries tonight now , lol.
