Chilling with Tag books

Love when the kids can sit together and "read" their books with the leap frog Tag pens. Granted they each have their own pen and book, but alteast they are sharing the bed right next to each other! Ha!

No longer my little Kindergartener

Next week, school starts back up for Alicia and she will be going into the 1st grade...

I found this on the side of fridge under a few of her other artwork pieces and don't think I ever posted it.

another installment of "we're screwed". Ben conquers the gate.

I was sitting in the armchair watching tv, while Ben was playing behind me, and a few minutes later i see him climbing up the steps.  This in itself isn't a big deal since he's been climbing steps for close to a year now, but the fact that he climbed over the gate in order to do this, was quite impressive.   so much we made him do it again (and again) to see if it was a fluke.  Here's a video of him getting caught in the act.

I have a feeling we'll be taking down this gate soon.  Lets hope he doesn't realize he can do this with the crib now.

A little run in...

Yesterday morning Ben had a run in with the local doorway. Luckily for Ben the door didn't put up too much of a fight. I believe Ben was running full force and smacked right it into as I was in the other room when I heard his pitter patter feet running about and then I heard a thump and the crying began. And some blood. Yeah, Not fun. A quick visit with our pediatrician and Dr. said he got lucky this time and did NOT need stitches! Hooray!

It's dress up time. This is what happens when you have an older sister that wants to play dress up. However, Ben did keep the dress on longer than any other dress up outfit Alicia tried to give him to wear.
